« Voices of Witness | Main | FIRST FEMALE PRESIDING BISHOP ELECTED!!! »

General Convention - Wednesday Jun 14

Spent the day manning the Every Voice Network Booth. Great feedback from parishes who use the program and met lots of interesting folks who want to.

Today, the first political rumblings started. The hearing to approve our new Bishop was held this morning. David Virtue appeared and tried to start some controversy but was essentially told to sit down and shut up. Marc Andrus' election was forwarded for approval.

There appears to be an issue with the election of the Bishop of Northern California. The decision was postponed until tomorrow.

The political issues are starting to infiltrate the halls and folks are talking. The public hearings on Windsor took place today. The line to get in was long and we decided we would never get in. No one knows what the response will be and speculation abounds. No doubt it will take until the last day of legislation to get approval on the resolutions in reponse to Windsor.

Spent the evening with Bishop Rod Michel, Br. James and Fr. James Tramel. I can't believe the number of people I've seen here that I've grown to know and love over the years.

Sister Catherine Grace CHS looked LOVELY today in a linen dress. Tomorrow I'm off to a tea in the afternoon with the brothers of SSJE.

I interviewed with Sean McConnell for the new EpiscoPod Podcast. Look for me there in the next couple of days. Bowie's flickr photostream is AWESOME! Check it out.

Peace,
Br. K
